African Parents Workshop

Join Genesis Youth Foundation in partnership with African Immigrants and Refugees Transition Services (AIRTS), NISAA African Family Services, and  Congolese Youth Connect (CYC) for a kid-friendly family night focused on immigrant/refugee parents in Central Iowa. Parents will come away from this meeting with an greater understanding of the educational system and how to help their students navigate school. The first 30 parents to arrive will receive a free gas card. Food will be available at this event while supplies last and childcare will be provided.

COVID safety precautions will be taken at this event. Mask wearing is mandatory and social distancing will be observed. Temperatures will be checked upon arrival and hand sanitizer will be available.
